For the launch collection Vocative has focused on fabrics with low environmental impact from Vitale Barberis Canonico and Lanificio Subalpino.
The commitment of Vitale Barberis Canonico to respecting the environment and people gave life to H.O.P.E., a new line of certified yarns with low environmental impact, made with materials that are natural, recycled and of plant origin. With its very fine fibres, Moretta wool from the long-standing company in Biella gives a rustic feel to the Vocative jacket materials, without the need for additives or dyes. Even the 100% wool fabrics are sustainable as they are washed with non-aggressive soap and light water and coloured with natural dyes.
There is the same regard for the environment in the 100% Lanificio Subalpino wool.
Lanificio Subalpino also make a lighter fabric, 61% linen and 39% organic cotton, washed with a non-aggressive soap and light water from Biella, and packaged in its natural colour.
LININGS
The viscose we use comes directly from wood pulp produced in the Ticino Natural Park.

The materials produced in the Ticino park are certified by the FSC – Forest Stewardship Council. This means that to collect the wood pulp used to produce the viscose to make Vocative jacket linings, the Park is required to adopt energy efficient sustainable techniques, water filtering and mitigation of the noise impact of its activities.
BUTTONS
We use wastepaper and recyclable polyester to make our buttons. A safe product for people and the environment, certified according to European standards.

The buttons used on Vocative garments are 30% recycled paper and reusable polyester. The dyes used do not release aromatic amines, which are chemicals prohibited by German federal law, the strictest at the European level in this field. This is why our buttons obtained the OEKO-TEX certification on the basis of the REACH regulation approved by the European Union.
