“High fashion with a low environmental impact”

CHOOSE THE VOCATIVE SUPPLY CHAIN,
CHOOSE WELL
Sustainability is achieved by focusing on all the stages of production of a clothing garment beginning with the choice of suppliers.
At Vocative we have set up a virtuous supply chain consisting of companies no more than 150km from each other. They provide us with quality products that aim to reduce CO2 emissions, limit water consumption, and use recycled raw materials.
The fabrics we use to make our unique garments, wool and cotton, are produced using about 30% less electricity and 25% less water, while the buttons and labels use recycled polyester with a 32% saving of CO2 emissions.
This is our small daily contribution to help achieve the 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015.
WE HAVE MADE OUR CHOICE.
NOW IT’S UP TO YOU.

VOCATIVE FASHION HOUSE
A virtuous cycle, from fabric to hanger.
Vocative
RAW MATERIALS
The process Vocative uses to produce wool and cotton fabrics consumes less energy, pollutes less, and has a lower impact than traditional production processes.

Wool*
The processing of sustainable wool results in a thermal energy consumption of 12.21 MJ/kg, 1.89 Kwh/kg of electrical energy, a carbon dioxide production of 17.47 CO2 equivalents per kilogram and a consumption of 49.7 liters of water/kg.
Traditional processing determines production, respectively, of 17,32 MJ/Kg, 2,7 Kwh/Kg, 24,9 Co2 eq/Kg and the consumption of 71 liters of water per kilogram.

Cotton and linen*
Processing sustainable cotton and linen results in an energy consumption of 30 MJ/Kg and a use of 8.3 thousand liters of water/kg.
Traditional processing results in an energy consumption of 46 MJ/Kg and a use of 10 thousand liters of water/kg.

Clothes hangers
These are made of sustainable polyester.

*data obtained from: Analisi del settore produttivo tessile laniero – Foddanu, et alii, 2006 p. 54 and A new Textile Economy: a redesigning fashion’s future – Ellen Mac Arthur Foundation, 2017 p. 40 and following pages.

Lining
They are all FSC – Forest Stewardship Council and OekeTech certified, as they are made exclusively with recycled polyester yarns.

Interiors
In the case of garments with padding, the interiors used have GOTS certification – Global Organic Textile Standard.

Vocative uses both labels and buttons made from polyester and recycled paper to make its jackets.

LOGISTICS

Short supply chain
Vocative has chosen to obtain supplies only from production companies that are less than 150 km from Milan. Emissions produced by a minivan transporting 35 tonnes of material is calculated at 150 g of CO2/km.

MANUFACTURING

Artisanal production
Vocative makes its garments to measure using only sustainable materials.

PACKAGING
The end-customer receives their garment in sustainable packaging.

Cardboard
The box used is 70%-recycled cardboard.

Rice
The paper tissue wrapped around the garment is made from rice straw: for every tonne of rice used, 1.7 tonnes of waste straw is created.

Clothes hangers
These are made of sustainable polyester.

YOUR JACKET

An end-to-end path
Following our circular economy principles, Vocative offers you assistance over the whole lifecycle of your garment, guaranteeing maintenance and repairs, right up to the final collection. The collected garments are used to create new garments.
